Sharing the Journey - Sharing Migrant Stories

Never before have there been so many migrants. With over 200 million migrants Pope Francis has launched the 'Share the Journey' campaign for awareness of the journey of Migrants.

Pope Francis encourages us to listen to their story, begin an 'encounter', and be moved to compassion and action.

In this newsletter we share a few migrants stories with you to begin the 'encounter'

As a friend and supporter, we hope you can catch a little glimpse of the joy your generosity creates for Burmese Migrants here on the Thai Burma Border with the Marist Asia Foundation.

We are mindful of the great sadness involved in leaving one's home, family and country to seek safety. As seen in the media recently, Myanmar continues to struggle with violence, poverty and fear.

The Marist team of priests, sisters, Thai and Burmese staff, and some international volunteers, seek to create a community of welcome, respect, learning and service as they cross the Thailand Burma Border and search for a better future.

Thanks for your continued prayers and support. We hope you enjoy the stories and open your hearts to share the journey.....
